I agree that what is better or best for you is really more about what fits you rather than what's sexier or cooler (kind of analogous to relationships). We shouldn't look to conform anyway; that seems to go against the notion of being an entrepreneur and starting something you're passionate about. The underlying risk of getting into a business just because it's glamorous is whether or not you could really pull through the tough times if there isn't a fit in the first place. When the proverbial stuff hits the fan (and the promise of $M or $B gets chopped up), would you be able to make it if you've been doing it for the wrong reasons? Start with yourself. At the end of the day though, my two fledgling business ideas are things I am passionate about and they fit within my lifestyle. Plus, I don't have to risk a lot to get them going. Love the blog.
