I’d like to see more of the how-to type guides for building an online store, it’s always nice to see from someone who’s done it – how to go about doing things the right way. Also, I love reading your personal stories in running a business as well. I think they’re interesting not only to entrepreneurs like ourselves, but also just to anyone else out there who might be interested in reading.
Keep up the great work!
Great contest! I think I’d like to see more on productivity and how to build an online store. And, of course, there is plenty of room in there for you to share your experiences!
I would like to know more about:
How to guides with respect to building an online store
Marketing an online store
Thanks and good luck!
Overall, I think you’re doing a great job. This is one of the sites that I can always count on going to for good content.
I do agree with David that it would be helpful to see a few more specific how-to type details from time to time.
Overall, keep up the good work.
I would like to see more articles about:
Motivational articles focusing on entrepreneurship
Thanks for the opportunity. Keep up the great articles.
This is so generous of you! I have been reading your blog for quite some time and enjoy the posts.
I would like to see more:
Motivational articles focusing on entrepreneurship
Personal stories about obstacles we face running our business
Thanks! Have a great day!
Your personal stories about dealing with idiots (umm, customers) is probably my favorite. There was one story about a year ago with a person ordering napkins (I think) and needed them embroidered and delivered the next day for a wedding. I don’t have a biz like you, but I have run into people like that.
Hi Steve,
The kind of posts I really enjoy here by order of importance are the following:
* Personal stories about obstacles you face running your business
* Motivational articles focusing on entrepreneurship
* How to increase productivity
* Marketing an online store
Also “How to” posts covering a variety of topics with respect to building and operating an online business is something many will find helpful. Everyone likes to learn from others who have done something similar to what they are trying to do.
This site is awesome. I use it as a reference, reading all the good how-tos about the early trials and errors, the LLC setup, and how you’re managing it all. As a brand new LLC, I’d like to see more about how to handle a new small business. I also would love to read more about how you learn and change what you’re doing based on what works – how to know when you’re going down the wrong path. (Your early learning experiences with the store were wonderful since you did learn from them)!
I’d like to see how-to guides about online stores as well as Marketing them, but I have some interest in the other topics, also. So it’s really tough to go wrong here
Steve, I don’t even qualify for the contest (hello from the Great White North), but I like your site so much that I’m doing what I can to help your market research.
All great ideas, but if I had to choose, online store how-to guides and stories about overcoming obstacles.
Hope this helps!
Sweet contest! I’m going to go with the personal stories about how you guys did it and and e-commerce strategies to boost sales.
Hey Steve,
I’m most interested in seeing you talk about:
- Personal stories about obstacles we face running our business
- Ecommerce strategies to boost sales
I’ll be launching my own product soon online, so hearing how you’ve been there and done that (as well as your funny customer service stories) is what I like to see =)
I love anything person and also the tips you share about running your business from home and marketing your online store.
Of course, I can’t think of a single post I’d complain about – keep up the great work, Steve!
And thank you for the contest!
I’m interested mostly in the personal accounts, so I’d have to say personal stories about obstacles we face running our business. It’s not on your list but some success stories would be good too, just to reassure people that they aren’t wasting their time in trying to run an online business.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
I’d enjoy seeing more motivational articles about entrepreneurship and how-to guides about building online stores.
Thanks!

Wow, I just found your web site and am in the process of starting up a small home business. Perfect timing! From the sound of the comments, you are doing a great job and I’ll be back, thanks!
I would like to see more on How to guides with respect to building an online store and Personal stories about obstacles we face running our business.
Thanks for the chance!
Hi Steve,
Wow, it’s hard to choose. I like all of the topics. I love your blog because it combines clear, actionable information and motivation. And, it is backed up by your own personal experience and success.
But, I guess I have to choose, so I’ll say Motivational articles focusing on entrepreneurship and Marketing an online store. I guess those two are the most useful and important to me.
My two: personal stories and marketing an online store.
I’m in Australia so I won’t be winning but I hope the feedback is useful anyway.
I read your blog for the real life stories – stuff from gurus and ‘motivational’ stuff (which usually isn’t – just moralising rants) doesn’t grab me.
I think you’ve made a great blog, keep up the good work.
Wow Steve! I cant really think of anything else to add! You have covered just about every topic I can think of.
Now that I think about it more, I would like for you to write a post about your business overhead. I am always curious as to how much other small, home based business spend on XYZ especially now that my 2009 taxes are complete.
I’m most interested in reading more motivational articles focusing on entrepreneurship as well as tips about how to increase productivity.
Love the personal anecdotes and case histories too though!
Hey Steve,
Wow, it’s a tough choice to make as I truly enjoy all your blogs. In fact your email is one that I wait to receive in my inbox! Either way, via email or visiting your blog, I like to know about questions that I face while trying to start my small business. If I were to choose two topics then, I would choose: a. HOW-TO- Guides & b. Personal stories about obstacles you face. Both of these topics are so valuable, I think. The later one I think is something that I crave for, I think nothing teaches you best but experience.
In fact, I had just emailed you about one of the question that I am faced with currently: “Storage ideas and problems about the Physical Inventory”. In that email, what I am seeking from you is how do you solve this problem/ issue. I would like to know your own story vs. just some typical article thats out there that doesnot necessarily solve/talk about the problem. I think, I love and learn a lot from your OWN STORIES & of course the HOW-To’s. So, these would be my first two choices but as I wrote in the beginning that its tough to choose just two as you are an amazing writer, motivator and businessman. Keep it up! Congratulations on your success and of course, thank you for all the writing!
Smile

Great website! I knew your wife had quit her job & started a business, but I had no idea it was going so well and you guys had learned so much. Great to see that you also have a passion to share what you’ve gained! Like to see more on philosophy on keeping your kids and family first, parenthood is exhausting – I don’t know how you do it!
I have just introduced a new product online, I have a good start. I am so glad I found your blog, I have read alot of business books. They don’t compare to hearing information from someone who is currently doing it.
I actually found your site while searching for a shipping agent for my product. Right now I am interested in an area in which I haven’t seen a post yet.
I would like to hear how you physically set up your work space. I would like to continue to keep my business out of my home even if it grows. I would also like to understand how your shipping flow is set up. Right now, I have a few orders per week so it is manageable. I just wanted to get an idea of how i should deal with this as sales volume grows.
By the way, I think all of your posts are very insightful I am glad to read any advice you have. Marketing and boosting sales of online store are where I am at right now.

Hi Steve!
These two are most helpful in my opinion:
-Personal stories about obstacles we face running our business
-Ecommerce strategies to boost sales
And the runner up is :
-Marketing an online store
Thanks so much for your awesome blog! You are always inspirational to read!

I’d like to see: How to guides with respect to building an online store and Personal stories about obstacles you face running your business. This is a very informative website! Thank you for the information and for the chance to win this phone!
I’d love to see more how to guides with respect to building an online store, the nitty gritty stuff is always fascinating to me. I’d also like to hear more about specific problems and issues you have had (or are having), and how you overcome them – personal stories are always great! Thanks!
I’m not interested in any phone on the AT&T network, but I’d say I like all of the above.
Also, time management with a job, family, and business: I find it extremely difficult to get any work done at home. I get more work done when I’m on an assignment and working 70 hours per week than I do at home between assignments.
And ways you (plan to) teach your children to take control of their own lives. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has had a young relative say “I can’t work for you because you’ll make me work, but I am looking for a job.”
( Personal stories about obstacles we face running our business) I like the obstacles and lessons you’ve learned. I too own a business and always looking for ways to improve and when your stories relate to success and failures, we can all pick some pointers. When it’s more general, a lot of readers can benefit. If your stories are too specific to a particular topic like “how to build online business” it may not apply to a lot of readers. Good luck in business this year..it’s the year of the strong Tiger!!!
awesome contest, Steve! As a personal development blogger, I, of course love motivational articales and I also love reading your personal stories about the obstacles you face.
Lots of luck to you with your business and please continue insiring us!
I won’t be able to win this contest as I’m based in another part of the world. lol.
However, I could chip in with the suggested topics that I find you’ll have a blast writing them.
- Personal stories about obstacles we face running our business
- Motivational articles focusing on entrepreneurship
Chose the 1st as it’s one of the hardest things to write *grins* — it is actually going to be difficult revealing too much of our own personal obstacles in running businesses; while the 2nd was selected as it’s actually one of my favorite topics when reading this blog.
All the best to the winner here. Cheers!

I think those are both great topics!

I’m new to the site, so I can’t offer much in the way of what I’d like to see vs. what you provide, so I’ll just offer encouragement – keep up the good work!
I have enjoyed your posts and have saved every one I’ve read. I would like to see a little more focus on ‘marketing’ a website.
I would really like to know the URL of your business site………..just curious to see what you’ve done.
I know it’s possible to have a successful online business because I too made a living off of a website for 3 years, selling water-bed sheets.
Any tiny niche can work for you if you learn how to drive the right kind of traffic to your site. Thanks for all the wonderful tips.
How to guides with respect to building an online store
How to increase productivity
Thank you.
Hi! Would love to see more articles about: 1. How to increase productivity, and 2. Marketing an online store. Thank you for hosting this contest!
I’m a new subscriber as well. Thanks.

I’d love to hear more about building an online store. 4 hour work week and all similar books talk about passive/alternative income but don’t provide the blueprint.
More marketing into..as it relates to your store’s successes and in general when marketing anything online.
I Can’t really think of anything I want to see more of. I’d just like to say that I enjoy the very personal slant.
Thanks.
Great Contest. I would like to see articles on the obstacles you face running your business and motivational articles focused on entrepreneurship.
The articles I enjoy the most are the articles that discuss overcoming obstacles and the ones that deal with the administrative side of the business (setting up a business structure, accounting, and similar topics). That wasn’t on your list, so the second choice would be increasing productivity.
I’m excited to have found your blog– looks like you have a great story to tell that is helpful to others. I arrived here via: BeingFrugal.net
I’d like to see articles about:
1. “How-to” guides with respect to building an online store
2. Personal stories about obstacles we face running our business
Thanks. Great Contest by the way!
I’d like to see articles about

2. How to increase productivity
I’d definitely like you to write about these two:
- Motivational articles focusing on entrepreneurship
- Young Entrepreneurs’ success stories.
- Tips for startups
- Cool startup ideas.
