I think sometimes I am too much of a theorist but most of the time my analysis proves me right. 10% of the time I am wrong. I think it's a combination of 2 or more of what you mentioned that tells ppl they are not cut out to be entrepreneurs.

You're right on with this post! I see most people fail to get started due to 2 factors: fear and knowledge constipation (or paralysis of analysis). I guess being a type A personality I'd rather get started and figure it all out later while many others do things in reverse. My wife's been home since 3 months before our first child was born (now 12) and our various ventures have made this possible. After lots of trial and error, we've finally found our "ticket" and look forward to my walking away from the full-time job as well! Life's too short to spend it in a cubicle!!!

Damn, wish there we still alot of companies like that! Great points, think the lack of discipline is the root of a lot of the traits you mentioned

At this one startup company, they were running out of money yet they decided to spend over 20 thousand dollars on executive bobble heads to give out as promotional items. I'm clearly missing a few traits in my article. Maybe I should add common-sense to that list as well.

When I worked at Microsoft, one of the members of our UK board of directors decided that a certain product ( a Barney the Dino doll that interacted with PS game or TV) would sell wonderfully. He was so off target that the company just gave them away to any employee that asked. They also demoted the former director that made the bad decision to such a low level that they expected him to quit. He eventually moved (at the low level) to the MS Canada office.
He was a bad person, and I am petty to admit that I was happy to see him go.
Stumbled!
