That why some people do said that they do need a website which is design accordingly to help in SEO. It not easy to market it . Social Media only one kind of marketing. Do not always depend on it only.
Keyword is important in your content and domain name. Sometime content come for second . Why? because no traffic, it is useless to have a good contain . But the best is target on both if you can .

Thanks for the advice!

I just launched my online store selling jewelry accessories and can definitely relate to this article. I was wondering from reading your SEO tips, should your links to other pages on your website such as your faq or image link be www.yoursite.com/faqs.html or can they be relative truncated linked such as /faqs.html? Exact links definitely make it a bit harder to develop in, just wondering if it will do your SEO any good.

Wow, your advice for her totally rocks! I particularly like the one about adding her own personality and creativity into her site. You have certainly made a very detailed analysis. Great work!

Would it be possible for you to take screen shots of what you are talking about in the blog, just in case she has changed/or changes the site... it would nice to see here exactly what you are talking about.

When I looked at the store the FIRST thing I saw was there was no compelling about me page. When I buy on the internet, I look for customer feedback and satisfaction, recommendations and /OR a REALLY great and compelling about me page. If I believe the person and think they seem like a genuine person... I will more likely buy, if I have no clue who is selling, I get suspicious and likely leave.

you have so many great suggestions, I need to add to our site...

also, isn't it true that now-a-days google doesn't even list sites if they dont' have privacy policys and dislcaimers?

another great post!

13 sales in three months is more than I got in my first year - almost!

I do agree that SEO is the key for organic traffic. I learned that my keywords and key <i>phrases</i> had to be more targeted.

SEO is definitely important here. They're targeted visitors for websites selling physical products. Just concentrate on giving your current buyers the BEST value possible and improving it every day and you don't even have to do marketing. Trust word of mouth. It's the oldest and tried and tested way.

I think what you should do is to focus on adding more content by blogging. About yourself, people wearing your clothing, the details of the clothes, etc...

Also you might want to check on your google analytics statistics, and define what is lagged from there. DO peole coming but not buying, or little traffic, etc...

This made me think of your recent post on "The Best Way to Attract Customers to Your Online Store" and the link it provided to Babbaco. Perhaps Scarfu could use a home or landing page that looked less like a catalog and did more to create an ambiance, think a hipster Ralph Lauren Polo. I hope they keep up the good work and try to make continual incremental improvements as three months is way too soon to throw in the towel.
